A virtual reality video game almost ended the actor's career.

Virtual reality video games have been a resounding success in recent years, leaving us with funny videos of unexpected falls or blows, generating laughter and fun for video gamers and those who watch these clips. But it is not always funny, and the actor was the victim of a dangerous situation, that could have left him without an arm.

Eugenio Derbez, Mexican actor and comedian was at home in Los Angeles, soon to leave for Georgia where he would spend days with his family and children, when his son Vadir told him to play a virtual reality game with him, in the game they had to walk but the situation turned into a terrible accident.

The video game gives us a pair of glasses with which we can feel immersed in the fun. The game has very simple modes such as attending a cafeteria, to games where you have to walk on narrow places at a great height.

In the game, you have to cross a small board that is 100 stories high. Everything was going well until Eugenio fell off the board and as he commented in an Instagram video “To my brain it didn't match what I was seeing with what was happening”. Which led to an accident that left him with 15 fractures in his right arm.

Eugenio fractured his right shoulder badly 

Causing the actor to fall down the stairs of his house, billing his right shoulder and elbow, leaving him with such a serious injury that he would need 6 months to a year of therapy and might not fully recover his mobility. We can only wait to see how the actor improves and hope for a speedy recovery.
