The defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard was the most mediatic in history; everyone was pending how things would be resolved, in the same way many celebrities gave their opinion on the case, so it was surprising that the actor's daughter Lily-Rose Depp had not spoken about it.

Finally, the model decided to break the silence. Despite the fact that in 2016, when the problems between Johnny and Amber began, she made a post on Instagram in which she defended him, during the duration of the trial she preferred to remain silent.

"When something so private and so personal suddenly isn't private anymore... I think I have a right to protect my private field of opinion. I also believe that I'm not here to vouch for anyone, and I feel that for much of my career people have wanted to define me by the men in my life, whether it's my family or my boyfriends, whatever. And now I'm really ready to be defined by the things I put out there", was what she said about it in an interview with Elle.

She also spoke about how difficult it was not being able to have a normal childhood: "I know my childhood wasn't like everyone else's, and it's a very particular thing to deal with, but it's also the only thing I know. My parents protected my brother and I as much as possible. They have raised me in a way that has taught me that privacy is something that is very important to protect."
