The news that Sylvester Stallone, more specifically his character Rocky Balboa, will not appear in the third movie of the popular action saga 'Creed', starring Michael B. Jordan, disappointed fans of the Rocky world.
Likewise, the fact that the actor himself did not give any explanation about the reasons for his absence generated an understandable mix of uncertainty and disgust among his admirers, but now Michael B. Jordan revealed the reason why.
Michael B.Jordan, who will direct the long-awaited film and will once again put himself in the shoes of the boxer Adonis Creed, confessed that, apparently, the decision has already been made a long time ago and in a way agreed between the actors.
In conversation with the news portal IGN, the young interpreter has assured that the franchise needed to take a new direction that would give absolute prominence to the title character of the saga.
"I think Sly [Sylvester] already hinted that he would not be back for this movie, although I have to say that his spirit and essence remain. There will always be a bit of Rocky in Adonis, but we are talking about the 'Creed' franchise, and we really wanted to build this story around the character and his evolution," revealed Michael B. Jordan in his interview.
"So, I can always say that I respect and love everything that [Stallone] has created. But now we have to push forward and make Adonis navigate head-on, along with the family he has created," said the actor and filmmaker.
