Not all artist benefits from the Super Bowl.

Being part of the Super Bowl Halftime show  is one of the greatest milestones an artist can achieve as a musician. But this has not always been so or at least it was not the case for the King of rock ‘n roll, Elvis Presley. 
In the 1973 Super Bowl edition, Elvis Presley was invited to participate in the most important football event. He was going to sing in the middle of the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins play.

His concert was supposed to be spectacular. It was be the first world satellite  SuperBowl transmission  and Presley’s concert “Aloha from Hawaii” would be a big success in his career.

Is Elvis Presley a NFL Victim?

As its name mentioned, Elvis’ concert was performed in Honolulu International Center. The problem was that the concert was broadcast on first in Europe and then recorded for being played during the halftime.

So, Elvis never performed in real time during the football halftime show! The NFL owners took this risky decision because they didn’t wanted that Elvis to steal the fans attention.This affected Elvis career and hindered true reason of sings in Hawaii, to raise funds for a foundation that helped people with cancer.
