The reasons why Tom Cruise returned his Golden Globe Awards

A couple of years ago, the actor decided to return his golden globes 

Throughout his career the actor Tom Cruise has received several Golden Globes for his extraordinary career, 7 to be exact, the first was in 1990 for his performance in the movie Born on the Fourth of July, the next was in 1997 for his role in the movie Jerry Maguire, and in 2000, he won the award in the category of Best Supporting Actor for Magnolia.

What no one saw coming was that the actor of that stature decided to return the awards, awards that several artists would like to obtain for their performances, and in the year 2021 the actor decided to return them, but the million dollar question is ... why did he return them?

The Golden Globes were known as the prelude to the Oscars, awards much coveted by all Hollywood actors is why it is not clear why an actor would return his awards.

A report revealed that the Golden Globes organization had some shady dealings, including fraud, unethical and suspicious actions, and that there were no employees of color in the organization.

This situation caused an outrage among Hollywood artists, one of them Tom Cruise, several called to boycott the ceremony and it was the actor who decided to return the awards of that ceremony.

 

Artists raise their voices 

The actor was not the only one who did something about it, more artists joined like Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and even companies like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
