Kanye West’s Famous Nike For $1.8 Million And More Celebrity things That Were Auctioned For A Lot Of Money

Many celebrity belongings are often auctioned to raise funds for NGOs and charities. Find out more here!

Kanye West

Kanye West wore sneakers during his performance at the 2008 Grammys that sold for $ 1.8 million in a private sale, according to Sotheby's. The rapper wore the Nike, which he helped to co-design himself, when he sang 'Hey Mama' and 'Stronger'.

The price broke the record for the most expensive sneakers ever sold, beating the 1985 Nike Air Jordan 1s Michael Jordan wore when he broke the board during a preseason game in Italy, according to TMZ. That means West's shoes are not only triple Jordan's record, but it is also the first time that a pair of sneakers has sold for more than a million dollars.

Kanye and Mark Smith designed a shoe that combined the classic Nike Swoosh with Yeezy and Kanye's signature. Sotheby's reported that the buyer is RARES, a tennis investment platform, so they may be resold in the future for a higher price.

Elvis Presley

Many of Elvis's possessions were up for auction, including his personal Bible, which sold for $ 94,000. A stained undergarment was also sold for $ 8,000.

Pharrell

The artist's famous brown hat, which he wore at the 2014 Grammys, sold for $ 44,100. The buyer was fast food chain Arby's, which claimed it looked a lot like his logo.
