Chris Harrison’s future with “The Bachelor” franchise remains in limbo, as the longtime host — who came under fire for racially insensitive comments — will sit out this summer’s season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” sources told, per Variety.

The role will be filed by celebrity comedians — including David Spade — who will serve as guest hosts, according to those with knowledge of the plans. As of Wednesday, offers to celebrity talent were still being considered and Spade’s deal was the only one to have closed.

It's likely that Chris Harrison's Bachelor pay-per-episode has increased since 2011, which means that his yearly salary should be in the several million by now. Celebrity Net Worth reports that his yearly salary is $8 million, which means that he receives around $200,000 per Bachelor episode in 2021.

If you're lucky enough to get chosen as the title bachelor or bachelorette, you can expect to rake in about $100,000. According to Insider, it's possible to negotiate more money; season 8 lead Emily Maynard was reportedly paid $250,000 for her season. So we're just guessing, but David Spade will be paid a fortune!
